You need to gain the center of life, through meditation. To center yourself in your own world, which is balanced by complications, depression, sadness and constant fear of death by losing time on worldly matters, you need to meditate. Meditation sounds very complicated and for those who have nothing to do in life; but that is not the case. This belief comes from ignorance. This ignorance arises from the religious and cultural groups that are supposed to be teaching us about this same meditation principal. Now, we live in a world that is opened up for every divine knowledge there is out there, all you need to do is open your mind.
Meditation requires balance and soothing of body, breath, and thoughts (mind), in that order. Do not fight your thoughts. Let your thoughts flow and go step by step. First, learn to just sit there and be with your thoughts. Second, just breathe and listen to your breathing; focus on your breathing. If you can focus on just sitting there and breathing, your thoughts will automatically calm down. It will take time, days, weeks and months but it will happen. Sit with yourself everyday, even if it is for 5 minutes, but do it everyday. Consistency is the key. You can’t get frustrated if you are not feeling calm or relaxed after meditation, because then you are doing it wrong. Just breathe and focus on your inhalation and exhalation, your belly going in and out. You can add chanting here if you would like, for example “Om”. As you deeply inhale, chant Om, use your inside voice. Hold for a few seconds. As you exhale, use your inside voice to chant Om or do it out loud. This way you breathe Om, in and out, feel that energy traveling inside you and releasing toxins out.
Then you start becoming the center of your universe and it is believed that once you start reaching higher stages in meditation you see the universe within yourselves. Some will see a light; some will hear a sound, some both and some none. Everyone has different experience. But don’t think about stages if you are beginner or accomplished in meditation. Just focus on breathing. Doing this you will feel relaxed and content.
P.s. I have been blessed to have a mother who meditated all her life and has taught me a few things. Meditating growing up helped me be a very calm and collected person. I never let people get on my nerves. I was bullied at school but at the end when they couldn’t get the reaction they wanted, the bullies would ask me how I was always so happy. I have gotten off the routine for the past few years and I see the negative affects on my behaviour and attitude. I will, from today on, meditate everyday, at least 5 minutes a day.
Center with me.
Stay blessed and happy. Meditate with me.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it and it encourages me to write more. And yes the key here is regular. Consistency is the way we can attain whatever it is that we want through meditation. I have seen people experience enlightenment and peace, which is a topic for another day. 🙂 Goodluck!

Meditation has not only improved my attitude and given me more patience with the world, it has helped in my running endeavors, as well. I find I can concentrate/get in a rhythm so much faster now. I hope if someone reads your post, they will try meditation…

Thank you so much for sharing your view. I think if everyone in this world focuses on being spiritual first and then explores religiously, if they want to, this world would be a better place.
